I learned of @NaNoWriMo in 2012. I didn't think I could participate because I mainly write creative non-fiction narratives on mental health. My pieces are short. And, I have no intention on jumping genres or pursuing full-length work (right now).

The goal of these campaigns is to bring awareness and help eliminate the stigma around mental illness and suicide, in particular. |
